Golden Basketball Academy is committed to an online and in-gym experience that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability.

Our Commitment

We strive to conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, cognitive, and motor impairments.

Features On This Site

  • Accessibility toolbar (bottom-left icon) with adjustable text size, high-contrast mode, dyslexia-friendly font, visible link underlines, and animation pause.
  • Keyboard navigation with a visible focus ring on every interactive element.
  • Skip-to-content link on every page for screen-reader and keyboard users.
  • Semantic landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) and ARIA labels where needed.
  • Descriptive alt text on meaningful images; decorative images are marked as such.
  • Color contrast meeting or exceeding WCAG 2.1 AA for body text.
  • Respect for prefers-reduced-motion and prefers-color-scheme.
  • Minimum 44×44 px touch-target sizing (WCAG 2.5.5).
  • Forms with visible labels, required-field indicators, and error messaging.
  • Responsive layout that reflows to 320 px without loss of content.

Assistive Technology

The site is tested for compatibility with current versions of popular screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack) and with keyboard-only navigation in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.

Program Accommodations

Golden Basketball Academy welcomes participants of all abilities. We will work with families to provide reasonable accommodations for our programs, consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. Please contact us in advance so we can prepare.

Ongoing Work

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. Some older photos, PDFs, or third-party embeds may not yet meet our target. We review and improve the site on a regular cadence and welcome feedback.
